Western saddles are much heavier and larger. You have to keep a horn on his forehead, and bind to the rope when you cross. are easier to drive and more comfort for the rider and horse. You can not go into them are English Saddles smaller, lighter and are designed for jumping, dressage, and what you built to do. they do not have a horn or something. It is difficult to stay when doing a horse in series or something, but more for her. Hope this helps!

Western saddles have a "horn" on the front, while the seats are not English. I personally find it easier to integrate into a Western saddle, but thats just me.
